It dictates not only religion, but government, laws, finance, education, personal hygiene and dress and every other aspect of your life. This can

Sharia, Dhimmi and Jihad all go beyond the Church authority. All are
actions. And all should be resisted in a free society. If need be, this resistance must come from the civil authority in order to restore the natural rights of man. Many will craft fancy
arguments and deny that these doctrines are making there way into America. To them I would point out Dearborn, Michigan where Christians were arrested for handing out tracts to Muslims. Sharia
doesn't allow for the conversion of Muslims or the preaching of the Gospel to them. I could also point to the inspiration of this article, the 9/11 Mosque. Funded by foreign entities, rumored to
be tied to terrorist organizations, the building of this mosque is an act of Dhimmi. This is an outward portrayal of dominance over America and it's people. An act in direct contravention to a
free society of freemen. And if all that fails I will point to the Ft. Hood shooter or better yet, the gaping hole that exists where the World Trade Center once did. Jihad. Bloody, hateful, Jihad.
Is toleration to be extended to those sects which would

Team B II: Shariah, the Threat to America This is the press conference
for the release of the Center for Security Policy's report, "Shariah, the Threat to America." It was composed by Team B II, a group of intelligence and national security professionals,
including former CIA head James Woolsey, author and former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy, Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, author Diana West, the Center's Frank Gaffney, Lt. Gen. Ed Soyster, and many
others. At the press conference at the US Capitol, the report was presented to Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ)-- who read a statement on Team B II by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN)-- and Rep. Pete
Hoekstra (R-MI).
Sharia law is used in many Muslim countries to justify shocking acts of barbarity including stoning, the execution of homosexuals, and the subjugation of
women. Sharia does not permit freedom of conscience; it prohibits Muslims from renouncing their Islamic faith or converting to another religion. Sharia does not support religious liberty; it
treats non-Muslims as inferior and does not accord them the same protections as Muslims. In these and other instances, sharia is explicitly at odds with core American and Western values. It is an
explicit repudiation of freedom of conscience and religious liberty as well as the premise that citizens are equal under the law.
Thus, the radical Islamist effort to impose sharia
worldwide is a direct threat to all those who believe in the freedoms maintained by our constitutional system.
Creeping Sharia in the United States
In some ways, it speaks of the goodness
of America that we have had such difficulty coming to grips with the challenge of radical Islamists. It is our very commitment to religious liberty that makes us uncomfortable with defining our
enemies in a way that appears linked with religious belief.
However, America's commitment to religious liberty has given radical Islamists a potent rhetorical weapon in their pursuit of
sharia supremacy. In a deliberately dishonest campaign exploiting our belief in religious liberty, radical Islamists are actively engaged in a public relations campaign to try and browbeat and
guilt Americans (and other Western countries) to accept the imposition of sharia in certain communities, no matter how deeply sharia law is in conflict with the protections afforded by the civil
law and the democratic values undergirding our constitutional system.
The problem of creeping sharia is most visibly on display in France and in the United Kingdom, where there are Muslim
enclaves in which the police have surrendered authority and sharia reigns. However, worrisome cases are starting to emerge in the United States that show sharia is coming here. Andy McCarthy's
writings, including his new book The Grand Jihad, have been invaluable in tracking instances in which the American government and major public institutions have been unwilling to assert the
protections of American law and American values over sharia's religious code. Some examples include:
In June 2009, a New Jersey state judge rejected an allegation that a Muslim man who
punished his wife with pain for hours and then raped her repeatedly was guilty of criminal sexual assault, citing his religious beliefs as proof that he did not believe he was acting in a
criminal matter. "This court believes that he was operating under his belief that it is, as the husband, his desire to have sex when and whether he wanted to, was something that was
consistent with his practices and it was something that was not prohibited." Thankfully, this ruling was reversed in an appellate court.
In May 2008, a disabled student at a public
college being assisted by a dog was threatened by Muslim members of the student body, who were reluctant to touch the animal by the prescription of sharia. The school, St. Cloud State, chose not
to engage the Muslim community, but simply gave the student credit without actually fulfilling the class hours so as to avoid conflict.
In a similar instance in November 2009, a high
school senior in Owatonna, Minn., was suspended in order to protect him from the threat of violence by radical Islamists when he wrote an essay about the special privileges afforded his Somali
Muslim counterparts in the school environment.
In order to accommodate sharia's prohibition of interest payments in financial transactions, the state of Minnesota buys homes from realtors
and re-sells them to Muslims at an up-front price. It is simply not the function of government to use tax money to create financial transactions that correspond to a religious code. Moreover, it
is a strategy to create a precedent for legal recognition of sharia within U.S. law.
Amazingly, there are strong allegations that the United States now owns the largest provider of sharia financing in the world: AIG.
Last month, police in Dearborn, Mich., which has a large
Muslim population, arrested Christian missionaries for handing out copies of the Gospel of St. John on charges of "disturbing the peace." They were doing so on a public street outside
an Arab festival in a way that is completely permissible by law, but, of course, forbidden by sharia's rules on proselytizing. This is a clear case of freedom of speech and the exercise of
religious freedom being sacrificed in deference to sharia's intolerance against the preaching of religions other than Islam.
Shockingly, sharia honor killings-in which Muslim women are
murdered by their husbands, brothers or other male family members for dishonoring their family-are also on the rise in America but do not receive national attention because they are considered
"domestic disturbances." (A recent article in Marie Claire Magazine highlights recent cases and the efforts to bring national attention to this horrifying trend.)
Cases like this will become all the more common as radical Islamists grow more and more aggressive in the United States.

Muslim Enclaves U.S.A.

It seems almost unthinkable, but Islamist groups are, as we
speak, hard at work creating Muslim states-within-states in the U.S. Indeed, this process has been unfolding for a long time across the Western world, through the creation of isolated Muslim
enclaves [1] in both rural and urban areas, as well as through the designation of "no-go zones [2]" where governments admit to having little authority over Muslims living there, essentially
leaving them to function as autonomous regions.
Daniel Pipes has tracked [1] numerous examples since 2004 of Muslim groups working to create communities based solely on Islam and run by
Sharia law. As discussed [3] by David Kennedy Houck in 2006, "Although such concepts are antithetical to a free society, U.S. democracy allows the internal enclave to function beyond the
established boundaries of our constitutional framework."
For example, one such community, Gwynn Oak, has been created [4] in Baltimore, Maryland, consisting of Muslim immigrants and
African-American converts. The project is led by John Yahya Cason, director of the Islamic Education and Community Development Initiative. Cason explained that the neighborhood is a response to
the problem that "Muslim communities are ruled by Western societal tenets, many of which clash with Islamic norms." In his opinion, there is a need for communities with "the totality of the
essential components of Muslim social, economic, and political structure." As such, the Gwynn Oak enclave follows specific moral rules based on Islam and people there speak Arabic. On September
13, 2009, the construction of its three-story mosque began [5]. Approximately 400 Muslims now live in the vicinity.
Another example involves the Islamic Center for Human Excellence, which
receives funding from the United Arab Emirates. In August 2004, it was granted permission [3] to build a Muslim neighborhood in Little Rock, Arkansas, complete with a mosque, school, and 22
homes; it would not allow the presence of alcohol. The goal was for Muslims to find an area to escape the alleged crime and depravity of American life, although the imam behind the effort said
that non-Muslims are welcome to join.
Far more radical groups than these are now taking the lead in promoting and creating Islamic enclaves on U.S. soil.
One such organization is
As-Sabiqun [6], headed by Imam Abdul Alim Musa [7], who is very honest about his disturbing objectives. The group's website calls for installing Islamic law worldwide, fighting for "oppressed"
Muslims, and "build[ing] model communities where Islam is lived." The website contains a point-by-point plan [8] to assemble mini-states in America, beginning with the construction of a mosque
and finishing with "establishing geographical integrity by encouraging Muslims of the community to live in close proximity to the masjid [mosque]" and "establishing social welfare institutions."
The ideology espoused by Musa and As-Sabiqun is undeniably radical. The website boasts [9] about Musa's early endorsement of Ayatollah Khomeini and the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran. It
also is unafraid to say that As-Sabiqun members follow people like Hasan al-Banna [10], the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood; Maulana Mawdudi [11], who called on Muslims to wage jihad until
Sharia law is in place over the globe; and Sayyid Qutb [12], the Muslim Brotherhood member whose preaching inspired Osama bin Laden. Musa himself has argued [13] that the CIA and Israel were
behind the 9/11 attacks. He has admitted [14] that he "like[s]" bin Laden, calls Hezbollah "a great organization," and says Hamas members are "very nice people."
Muslims of the Americas
[15], led by Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani [16] in Pakistan, is a very similar group with very similar aims, though its focus is more rural than urban. It admits to owning at least 22 "villages" [17]
around the country that are dozens of acres large and operate under names like "Islamberg [18]," "Holy Islamville [19]," and "Aliville [20]." These Muslim-only lands are open to outsiders solely
during planned outreach events and sometimes to journalists.
This group has received considerable media attention due to allegations that its isolated compounds are used for paramilitary
training [21], an accusation bolstered by a videotape [22] released by the Christian Action Network [23]. On that tape, a speaker is seen declaring the U.S. a Muslim country and pledging that
Muslims of the Americas will defend American Muslims from foreign and domestic enemies.
The ideology of Muslims of the Americas is comparable to that of As-Sabiqun, although it is more
centered on following Gilani as a representative of God who is capable of creating miracles. Gilani is very anti-Semitic, describing [15] Jews as "an example of human Satans"; like Musa, he
insists that a Jewish-Zionist conspiracy is behind the attacks of September 11, 2001, and other schemes to harm Muslims. He calls [24] bin Laden a "Saudi activist," while claiming to meet with
Jesus and personally to have introduced the Mahdi to a select few.
The Department of Homeland Security says [25] that Muslims of the Americas is linked to Jamaat ul-Fuqra [26], a Pakistani
terrorist group. The State Department's Patterns of Global Terrorism report [27] in 1998 described ul-Fuqra as an "Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence." Other fronts for the
group include the International Quranic Open University [28], the United Muslim-Christian Forum [29], the Islamic Post [30] newspaper, the Muslim Scouts of America [31], the Hands to Hands [32]
charity, Muslim Vets [33], the American Muslim Medical and Relief Team [34], and the Islamic Naat Group [35].
Another collective aspiring to create autonomous Muslim regions in the U.S. is
called the Ummah [36]. On October 28, 2009, the FBI tried to arrest one of its leaders, Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah [37], for his involvement in criminal activity alongside some of his followers.
A shootout [38] ensued that took the life of Abdullah and one police dog. Like Muslims of the Americas, Abdullah offered his flock martial arts training and, in some cases, firearms instruction.
He also had his own armed security team and preached war [39] against the U.S. government and solidarity with bin Laden, the Taliban, and Hezbollah.
The FBI describes [40] the Ummah as a
"nationwide radical fundamentalist Sunni group consisting mainly of African-Americans" and says [41] that its goal is to create "a separate, sovereign Islamic state ('the Ummah') within the
borders of the United States, governed by Sharia law. The Ummah is to be ruled over by Jamil Abdullah al-Amin [42], formerly known as H. Rap Brown." The death of Luqman Ameen Abdullah did not
destroy this aim.
Although the Muslim Brotherhood and its American affiliates are not directly trying to create Islam-based towns within the U.S., they are helpful to the efforts to do so.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations [43]' Michigan branch rushed [44] to Abdullah's defense and the American Muslim Taskforce [45] demanded [46] an investigation into his death. In
addition, various Brotherhood affiliates have given Musa speaking platforms [47], including at major universities.
Also involved is Kenny Gamble [48], a major music producer who now goes
by the name of Luqman Abdul Haqq. Gamble has been accused of trying to create a "black Muslim enclave [49]" in Philadelphia, closely following the plan put forth by As-Sabiqun. Notably, he has a
leadership position [50] with the Muslim Alliance in North America [51]; Abdullah also served as a leader of MANA [50] and Musa's name was once listed there, but has since been removed [47]. This
suggests some level of cooperation among these groups and individuals for their common goals.
The possibility that Muslim-only towns and urban enclaves could be created inside the U.S.
seems like a fantasy to most Americans at the moment, but there is precedent in Europe. The French government actually has a website where it tabulates 751 "sensitive urban zones [52]," which
have been accurately described as "no-go zones [2]." In these areas, which are mostly populated by Muslim immigrants, there is a high level of crime and hostility to any governing authority,
including law enforcement. Police officers do not regularly patrol the areas and they are as close to being autonomous regions as possible without the erecting of an actual parallel government.
The construction of the building blocks for similar Muslim enclaves and "no-go zones" in the U.S. is one of the most disturbing programs of Islamist groups. If successful, these
territories will be the first to establish Sharia law in the country, thus offering a profound challenge to America's constitutional order.

Newt Gingrich has become the first major politician to acknowledge that the problem
America faces today from Islamic jihadists is not simply one of terrorism, but of a larger attempt to insinuate elements of Islamic law (sharia) into American society, and to assert the principle
that where sharia and American law conflict, it is American law that must give way.
The stated goal of Islamic jihadists around the world is consistent: to weaken non-sharia governments
through terrorism as well as other means, so as ultimately to topple those governments and install Islamic law in their place. The non-violent means by which they work to achieve this goal were
the focus of my 2008 book Stealth Jihad, in which I decried the universal tendency among both Republicans and Democrats to speak solely of the threat of "terrorism," and to ignore completely the
stealthy ways in which the terrorists' agenda was advancing under our noses.
In a series of discrete initiatives generally advanced as "civil rights" or "religious freedom" issues, Muslim
groups linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, an international organization whose stated goal is "eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within," have pressed successfully in recent
years for numerous special privileges for Muslims in American society. Footbaths for ablutions before Islamic prayers have been constructed in airports and universities; Muslim employees have
been given special break times at factories, breaks that non-Muslims are not offered, so that they can pray at the prescribed times; and initiatives have been undertaken in the media and courts
to stigmatize and marginalize anyone who speaks honestly about the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat.
None of these initiatives may seem to amount to much at first glance; however,
they should cause concern for two reasons: because in every case they further the principle that American law and custom should give way to Islamic imperatives, rather than that Muslims in
America should adapt their behavior to American principles; and because of the connection to the Muslim Brotherhood, the progenitor of Hamas and al Qaeda.
And now Gingrich has become the
first national politician to take notice of this threat. Speaking at the American Enterprise Institute on Thursday, he said: "This is not a war on terrorism. Terrorism is an activity. This is a
struggle with radical Islamists in both their militant and their stealth form."
How Gingrich might distinguish "radical Islamists" from Muslims who simply believe in the Koran and the
teachings of Muhammad, who declared that "Islam must dominate, and not be dominated," is unclear. But his words are remarkable not for his maintaining the artificial and arbitrary distinction
between Islam and Islamism, but because of his explanation of the stealth jihad: "The stealth form believes in using cultural, intellectual, and political [means]. But their end goal is exactly
the same."
The stealth jihad advances without violent attacks at a time when almost all our "anti-terror" resources and energy are devoted to heading off another violent attack on American
soil. Its leaders work within American communities and organizations, and quite often have won the respect and gratitude of their non-Muslim colleagues and peers.
The leaders of the
stealth jihad enjoy the respect of the mainstream media, who often aid and abet their efforts to present themselves as benign civil rights advocates and conceal their actual agenda.
The stealth jihad has a good chance to transform American society before most Americans have any idea of what's happening.
But Gingrich knows. And he also offered a solution: "One of the
things I am going to suggest today is a federal law which says no court anywhere in the United States under any circumstance is allowed to consider sharia as a replacement for American law."
If such laws were adopted around the country and enforced against the many Muslim Brotherhood-linked Islamic groups in the United States (which include such ostensibly "moderate" groups as
the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Islamic Society of North America, the Muslim American Society, the Muslim Students Association, and many others), the stealth jihad could be stopped
in its tracks.
We may hope that America's lawmakers have the courage to heed the words of Newt Gingrich.

My mother believed in "common sense" testing. She said if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, waddles like a duck and acts like a duck; it's a duck. She believed that
actions speak louder than words and that only a liar said one thing and then did the opposite.
Would President Obama pass my mother's "is he a Muslim" test? Let's see. President Obama says
there is nothing more beautiful than the Muslim call to prayer in the evening. He says that the United States was not founded as a Christian nation.
Obama's father and step-father were
Muslims and he spent his childhood living in a Muslim country where his school enrollment records say his religion is Islam. As President of the United States he genuflects to the Muslim King of
Saudi Arabia but not the Christian Queen of England. He thumbs his nose at America's friends and bows to its enemies. In short, Obama quacks like a Muslim, waddles like a Muslim and acts like a
Muslim, so is he a Muslim? My mother would say, "Yes! He's a Muslim through and through."
Growing up as a Muslim, Obama must have learned that according to the Qur'an it is acceptable to
lie, deceive and live by a double standard provided in so doing one advances Islamic goals. Muslims only pretend to trust and be friends with non-Muslims; in the deepest of their Muslim hearts
they have been taught that all non-Muslims are infidels.
Speaking of double standards, Saudi Arabia is building mosques all over the world and Muslims are hoping to build a 13 story mosque
at "Ground Zero" in New York City. At the same time, Islam's double standard mandates that no non-Muslim churches be built in Saudi Arabia or other Islamic countries.
A good example of
this double standard principle in action was Yasser Arafat. He could seemingly enter into genuine peace negotiations with the United States and Israel and, at the same time; lie about it with
complete sincerity. Routinely he made all sorts of promises and pronouncements in English, and the very next day said the exact opposite to an Arabic audience -- perhaps to him it wasn't really
lying, just being faithful to the teachings of the Qur'an.
Is it because President Obama is secretly a Muslim that he can so sincerely pretend, like Arafat, that his actions and policies
have never put a strain on U.S. Israeli relations? "If you look at every public statement I have made it has been a constant reaffirmation of the special relationship between the United States
and Israel." This is like President Clinton saying that it depends on what the meaning of is is.
In 2005 the U.S. promised Israel, in writing, that in future negotiations with the
Palestinians we would not insist that Israel withdraw to its pre-1967 borders. But last year the Obama Administration said that that promise would no longer be honored. In the past, both
Democrat and Republican Administrations have insisted that negotiations be based on a two-state solution, which means that for Palestinian refugees
there can be no open "right of return" to Israel
With open immigration the number of Palestinians living in Israel would quickly overwhelm the number of Jews, and soon the Jewish state
would cease to exist. Candidate Obama, while running for president, made it clear that he did not support a "right of return" for Palestinian refugees. But now that he's president, he has reneged
on that promise.
Months ago Obama promised to send 1,500 National Guard troops to the Arizona border and to spend at least $500 million on border security. Gov. Brewer is still
waiting for the troops and money to arrive.
In a recent Muslim-double-standard speech, President Obama bragged that the southwest American border is as safe as it has ever been. But at the
same time his Administration was putting up signs warning American citizens to stay away from the Arizona border area because, "SMUGGLING AND ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MAY BE ENCOUNTERED IN THIS AREA."

authorized to speak publicly.
The ban, which affects public and private universities, is only against the niqab -- a full Islamic veil that reveals only a woman's eyes
-- not headscarves, which are far more commonly worn by Syrian women.
The billowing black robe known as a niqab is not widespread in Syria, although it has become more
common recently -- a move that has not gone unnoticed in a country governed by a secular, authoritarian regime.
"We have given directives to all universities to ban
niqab-wearing women from registering," the government official told The Associated Press on Monday.
The niqab "contradicts university ethics," he added, saying the government was seeking to protect its secular identity....
Opponents say such bans violate freedom of religion and will stigmatize all Muslims.
Duaa, a 19-year-old university student in Damascus, said she
hopes to continue wearing her niqab to classes when the next term begins in the fall despite the ban.
Otherwise, she said, she will not be able to study.

"Islamist Infiltration":
[M]any serious observers of America's war with militant
Islam see reasons for alarm. A case in pointthe Fort Hood Massacre. It was shocking enough to learn that the American domestic military establishment cannot even protect its own troops inside
the United States. But what seemed even more shocking was the fact that the country's most senior Army officer, Gen. George Casey, publicly stated that the attack caused him to be more worried
about harm to the military's diversity than the disgrace that failed to prevent such an appalling waste of lives.
Many fear our superpower status is rapidly ebbing away
and, shockingly, at the behest of our own government. Given the escalating Islamic threat, it seems appropriate to ask: Why is this diminution of American power happening? Are there Islamic
jihadists influencing our government? Who are the jihadists influencing? What have they accomplished? And what is their end game?
In the mid-20th century, the Brotherhood began its campaign to infiltrate and impact the direction of the United States.
During the 1960s, the Brotherhood began sending vast numbers of students to American universities.
In 1973, with massive Saudi funding, they formed
the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), an investment vehicle that enabled them to acquire 300 mosques and schools in the United States.
In 1987, Hamas, the Palestinian wing of the Brothers with the stated goal of destroying Israel, was founded and largely funded by American Muslims.
In
1990, the Brotherhood formed the American Muslim Council (AMC) with Abdurahman Alamoudi as its boss and the new capo di tutti of the entire syndicate.
Then in 1994, the Council on American- Islamic Relations (CAIR) was founded.
In 1980, there were 481 officially recognized Mosques in the United
States. Today, there are 1,209, with an estimated 80 percent of those funded and controlled by Saudi Arabia, where the official religion is virulently anti-Western Wahhabi Islam.
Paul Sperry and David Gaubatz's book "Muslim Mafia" exposes the Muslim Brotherhood's activities in America using declassified FBI documents, FBI agent interviews, transcripts
of telephone wire taps and thousands of internal documents smuggled out of CAIR headquarters by Gaubatz's son, Chris Gaubatz, who posed as an American convert to Islam and was hired by CAIR. They
demonstrate that the Brotherhood is now a worldwide central clearinghouse for virtually all Sunni terrorist groups, is operating inside U.S. mosques across the country and is in complete control
of CAIR and its myriad subsidiaries.
And while the House of Saud attempts to portray itself as a loyal U.S. trading partner, the authors prove that it is actually
financing and partnering with the Brotherhood, that it is actively undermining our national security, and that it controls CAIR and at least 46 other supposedly moderate Muslim front groups in
the United States, along with countless other subsidiary shell companies. And for the first time, they expose the Brotherhood's five-phase plan for dominating America:
Phase I: Establish an elite Muslim Leadership and raise Islamicist consciousness in the community;
Phase II: Create Islamic institutions that the leadership can control and form autonomous Muslim enclaves;
Phase III: Infiltrate America's
political and social institutions forming a shadow state; escalate conversions; manipulate mass media to remove language offensive to Islam;
Phase IV: Open hostile public confrontation over U.S. policies, riot, make militant demands for special rights and accommodations;
Phase V: Wage final conflict and overthrow (jihad).
According to Sperry and Gaubatz, the consensus among counterterrorism officials is that the North American Brotherhood is already in Phase III.
Thanks to our takeover of AIG, we now are involved in Islamic finance.
It is "financial jihad," explained Yusuf Qaradawi, the Muslim Brotherhood's sharia compass and the man Feisal Rauf,
the brains behind the proposed Ground Zero mosque, admires as "the most well-known legal authority in the whole Muslim world today." It was 2002 and Qaradawi, who endorses suicide bombing and the
targeting of American personnel operating in Islamic countries, was giving a lecture on the need to use the international financial system to support Islamist goals like Hamas's war to destroy
Israel.
The financial jihad has now achieved its greatest coup so far: It has co-opted the U.S. government as a partner. In fact, if you would like to see a contributor to the jihad, have
a look in the mirror. Thanks to the Obama administration, every one of us is complicit. The bailout bonanza made each of us an owner of American Insurance Group (AIG). Under the stewardship of
its real CEO, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, AIG proudly runs the world's most lavishly funded sharia-compliant insurance business and it is desperately trying to convince a federal court
in Michigan that no one should have a problem with that.
Sharia-compliant finance (SCF) is now a thriving American industry. Sharia is Islam's authoritarian legal framework. It aspires to
control not merely spiritual life but all aspects of society, including economic matters. The purpose of SCF is to advance that mission in two important ways.
First, SCF legitimizes the
incorporation of sharia into our legal system, despite the fact that many features of Islamic law are anti-constitutional. That is, once sharia governance is accepted in principle, Islamists
shrewdly figure the skids are greased for imposing sharia tenets on other aspects of our national life (e.g., domestic relations, employment matters, criminal law, etc.). Second, because sharia
is a discriminatory system, SCF promotes Islamist ideology and enriches Muslims at the expense of non-Muslims by controlling investments and "purging" interest.
Companies that practice
SCF, including AIG, retain advisory boards of sharia experts. These boards, which often include Islamist ideologues, tell the companies which investments are permissible (halal) and which are not
(haram). AIG's "Shariah Supervisory Committee" includes a Pakistani named Imran Ashraf Usmani, who is the son and student of Taqi Usmani, a top cleric (a "mufti") and a globally renowned
sharia-finance authority. The mufti is author of a book that features a chapter urging Muslims in the West to engage in jihad against the countries in which they live.
In the insurance
business, those who purchase policies pay premiums, which insurers like AIG then invest. To be sharia-compliant, investments must not be made in enterprises Islam forbids, e.g., finance (because
it makes money off interest, which sharia prohibits), pork, gambling, alcohol, etc. Sounds harmless enough . . . except forbidden enterprises would also include businesses that support or
otherwise work with the U.S. armed forces. Islamists consider our military to be an "infidel force" that is "at war with Islam."
Because sharia bars interest (although it permits "profits"
that Islamic authorities, in their infinite wisdom, deem reasonable), SCF requires that investments be constantly monitored and that any interest payments be purged. This is done by skimming off
a percentage that is then channeled at the direction of the advisory board to an Islamic "charity." Of course, as no one knows better than the Treasury Department, many such charities are
merely fronts for the financing of terrorist organizations. This is not an accident. When Sheikh Qaradawi speaks of "financial jihad" as an Islamic obligation, he's not kidding: In Islamist
ideology, funding those who "fight in Allah's cause" e.g., Hamas is one of the eight categories of permissible zakat, the Muslim obligation of almsgiving.
So, an American company that
practices SCF is, wittingly or not, advancing the jihadist agenda: It will deny financing to enterprises that help our military combat terrorists while running the risk that its sharia advisers
will steer funding to those same terrorists. That aside, the portrayal by President Obama and others of zakat as "charitable giving" is a misconception. According to the most influential Islamic
authorities, zakat can be given only to Muslims. It is not an extension of one's hand to the world's most needy; it is an insular duty to fortify the ummah, the notional Islamic nation.
Consequently, the purging of interest is nothing more than a redistribution of wealth from non-Muslims to Muslims.
Like many bad ideas, SCF was vigorously promoted by the academy, particularly
Harvard under then-president Lawrence Summers (former Clinton Treasury secretary and now National Economic Council director) and law-school dean Elena Kagan (Obama's recently confirmed
nominee to the Supreme Court). The Harvard scholars behind SCF were Samuel Hayes of the business school and Frank Vogel, director of the law school's "Islamic legal studies" program. In
1998, Vogel and Hayes co-authored the seminal SCF textbook, Islamic Law and Finance: Religion, Risk, and Return.
The book relates that "the structure of Islamic finance is firmly rooted in
the Qur'an and the teachings of Muhammad." SCF, unabashedly, is the promotion of Islam. Its "central tenets" lie in "the religious law of Islam concerning commercial dealings." Its advisory
boards are there "to review all proposed transactions for conformity with religious law." Indeed, the authors concede, "the raison d'etre for the practice of Islamic finance is undeniably
religious."
Moreover, given that Islam is not merely a religion but a comprehensive social system that rejects the separation of the spiritual realm from secular matters, SCF is
necessarily a political mission. Hayes and Vogel state without apology that "the surge in Islamic banking and finance is part of the much larger phenomenon of Islamic reassertion." SCF is "an
assertion of religious law in the area of commercial life, where secularism rules almost unquestioned throughout the rest of the world." It quite intentionally challenges both "the presumption
that modern commercial mores are per se more efficient or otherwise superior" and "the secular separation of commerce from consideration of religion and piety."
That is a big problem for
AIG under Uncle Sam's management. The First Amendment's Establishment Clause has been construed to bar government action (including government underwriting of action) that is "pervasively
sectarian." Under our jurisprudence, the state is forbidden to act if its "secular purposes" are "inextricably intertwined" with a "religious mission," as the Supreme Court put it in Bowen v.
Kendrick (1988). SCF is Islamic proselytism, and our law prohibits the "active involvement of the sovereign in religious activity" so said the high court in Lemon v. Kurtzman (1971).
The
Thomas More Law Center has filed a lawsuit against Secretary Geithner and the Treasury Department, seeking to shut down AIG's SCF business while that business is owned by the taxpayers. In
response, the Obama administration has hilariously denied that SCF is really an "Islamic religious activity." Someone will need to break that news to Professor Hayes, the guy who wrote that "the
raison d'etre for the practice of Islamic finance is undeniably religious." When the Treasury Department co-hosted a Harvard SCF seminar less than two years ago, it chose none other than Hayes to
preside.
Treasury also counters that the public money used for AIG's SCF programs is trivial. That is specious. Geithner has committed $70 billion of our money to AIG. Of this amount, the
lawsuit has demonstrated that nearly $1 billion was poured directly into AIG's SCF businesses, and billions more are available for diversion. How much public money is actually promoting sharia
finance may be impossible to say with certainty. AIG jointly operates many of its branch offices, using consolidated accounting and non-segregated bank accounts. Neither the government nor AIG
has ever issued any regulations or created any firewalls to prevent American taxpayer money from underwriting SCF activities.
The Obama administration could have suspended AIG's promotion
of sharia finance in order to protect constitutional norms. But, of course, if it were interested in constitutional norms, it would neither be running private companies nor embracing Islamists
and their law. So congratulations: You get to fund the jihad, while the jihad gets to target you.

Scattered across the United States, unknown to all but a handful of citizens, are 35 Islamic
terrorist training compounds known as Muslims of America. Under the leadership of a radical Pakistani cleric, Sheikh Mubarak Gilani, Muslims of America has thousands of devoted followers who are
being groomed for HOMEGROWN JIHAD.
In never-before-seen video footage, the Christian Action Network exposes these dangerous terrorist compounds and reveals for the first time a secret
training tape in which American Muslims are recruited to join one of the most advanced training courses in Islamic military warfare right here in America! They are called Soldiers of Allah and
they are trained in explosives, kidnapping, murder, firing weapons, and guerilla warfare. They are told, Act like you are a friend, then kill him just like from the book.
Americans also may be surprised to learn that the United States has been an active participant in mosque construction projects overseas. In April, U.S.
Ambassador to Tanzania Alfonso E. Lenhardthelped cut the ribbon at the 12th-century Kizimkazi Mosque, which was refurbished with assistance from the
United States under a program to preserve culturally significant buildings. The U.S. government also helped save the Amr Ebn El Aas Mosque in Cairo, which
dates back to 642. The mosque's namesake was the Muslim conqueror of Christian Egypt, who built the structure on the site where he had pitched his tent
before doing battle with the country's Byzantine rulers. For those who think the Ground Zero Mosque is an example of "Muslim triumphalism" glorifying
conquest, the Amr Ebn El Aas Mosque is an example of such a monument - and one paid for with U.S. taxpayer funds.
The mosques being rebuilt by the United States are used for religious worship, which raises important First Amendment questions. U.S. taxpayer money should
not be used to preserve and promote Islam, even abroad. In July 2009, the Office of the Inspector General published an audit of U.S. Agency for International
Development (USAID) faith-based and community initiatives that examined whether government funds were being used for religious activities. The auditors
found that while USAID was funding some religious activities, officials were "uncertain of whether such uses of Agency funding violate Agency regulations or the
Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the Constitution" when balanced against foreign-policy objectives.
For example, our government rebuilt the Al Shuhada Mosque in Fallujah, Iraq, expecting such benefits as "stimulating the economy, enhancing a sense of pride in
the community, reducing opposition to international relief organizations operating in Fallujah, and reducing incentives among young men to participate in violence
or insurgent groups." But Section 205.1(d) of title 22 of the Code of Federal Regulations prohibits USAID funds from being used for the rehabilitation of
structures to the extent that those structures are used for "inherently religious activities." It is impossible to separate religion from a mosque; any such projects will
necessarily support Islam.
The State Department is either wittingly or unwittingly using tax money to support Mr. Rauf's efforts to realize his dream of a supersized mosque blocks away
from the sacred ground of the former World Trade Center, which was destroyed by Islamic fanaticism. This ill-considered decision will raise the ire of millions of
Americans and illustrates the limits of what the denizens of Foggy Bottom know about diplomacy.
* Sharia has penetrated our financial system, in the form of sharia-compliant financial instruments offered by the likes of Citi Group and AIG. In an example
of government accommodating sharia, Minnesota offers sharia-compliant mortgages for Muslims.
* Muslim prison employees, law enforcement officials, and even a Disneyland employee, have sued for the right to wear the hijab as part of their uniforms.
* Muslim parents in New Jersey are demanding private prayer rooms for their children in the PUBLIC elementary schools.
* According to a National Public Radio report in 2007, as many as 100,000 Muslims are living in polygamous marriages here in America.
* Harvard provided women-only gym hours to accommodate the demands of Muslims.
The Nature of the Threat
The war which we fight is primarily defined by the enemyas INFORMATION WARFARE, which manifests itself in our system as political warfare, influence operations, and subversion of our
foundational institutions political, educational, religious, and media. Yet, our entire government structure is focused on the kinetic war shootings/bombings etc, and planned acts of
terror. We are not only NOT winning in the information battle-space, we are not engaged in that space because we do not understand it is the enemy's self-identified Main Focus of
Effort. Where we do attempt to engage in the information battle-space, we are off the mark because we have not stopped to learn the enemy doctrine. Jihadi plans for violence here in
the U.S., as well as the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere, are important to the enemy, but secondary to the Information Warfare. Our lack of understanding this fundamental
truth cripples our ability to engage the enemy where he fights his main battle.
Al Qaeda and other violent jihadi groups fight to (1) implement Islamic Law and (2) re-establish the
Islamic Caliphate. The Information War in the West is driven by front groups posing as peaceful Muslim community organizations, led by the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). The MB was created
in Egypt in 1928 to (1) implement Islamic Law worldwide and (2) re-establish the global Muslim Caliphate. Al Qaeda and the MB have the same objectives the difference in achieving
them is timing and tactics. The Brotherhood's Creedis: "God is our objective; the Koran is our law; the Prophet is our leader; jihad is our way; and death for the sake of
Allah is the highest of our aspirations." As a result of documents entered into evidence in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial in Dallas, Texas in 2008 (the largest
terrorism-financing trial in American history), we know that every major Muslim organization in the United States is controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) or a derivative thereof (to include
but not limited to: CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, MAS, MSA, IIIT, Fiqh Council of North America, MPAC, ATF and hundreds of others). The leadership of HLF and HLF itself was proven to be Muslim
Brothers/Hamas. The documents released at the trial lay out the MB's presence in the U.S. and the level to which they intend to insinuate themselves into our society and achieve their
objectives.
Islamic Law is real law. It is the basis for constitutions in Muslim nations around the world. In Islam, obedience to the law is more important than one's own
personal conscience/belief structure. There is no Islamic Law that does not require Jihad as "warfare against non-Muslims to establish the religion" until all the world is claimed for
Islam. Since the creation of Islam, there has never been any other definition of "Jihad" in Islamic Law. Under Islamic Law, non-Muslims must ultimately convert or submit to Islam, or
be killed. The entire world is either Dar al-Islam (house of Islam) or Dar al-Harb (house of war), and, therefore, Jihad is a permanent state until all the world is claimed for
Islam. Current Islamic sources teach that Islamic Law is diametrically opposed to the U.S. Constitution. This is not a First Amendment issue, and it is NOT a "religious"
issue. The enemy seeks to impose foreign law
(Shari'ah) in the United States challenging Article 6 of the U.S. Constitution which states "The Constitution shall be the supreme law of the land."
MB organizations conduct outreach to the government, law enforcement, media, religious community, and others for one reason - to subvertthem in furtherance of their objective -
implementation of Islamic Law. Current publications of Islamic Law clearly allow for "obligatory lying" to non-Muslims when objective is obligatory Jihad for example. Therefore,
when studying this issue, it is critical to read published law written by Muslim authorities, for the benefit of Muslim audiences. In this information war, a principle goal of the
Muslim Brotherhood is to keep the West from studying authoritative Islamic Law the stated doctrine used by both the violent jihadis (Al Qaeda et al), and the subversive organizations led by the
Muslim Brotherhood. This doctrine is taught at the first grade level across the Middle East, and in English in U.S. Islamic Schools and Mosques. Individuals charged with duties in the
National Security realm, especially the leadership, who have sworn an oath to the Constitution, must undertake a concerted effort to learn and understand the factual basis of the threat doctrine
that includes a self-proclaimed reliance on Islamic Law. Arguably, failure to do so makes the development of a counter-strategy impossible and, notably constitutes malfeasance on the
part of the National Security professionals.
