Halifax Area Memorial Day Freedom March

We had a great event on Memorial Day! Our group of Patriots marched, waved flags and held signs honoring our Veterans that died for liberty so generations of Americans and those in foreign lands could live in freedom. This freedom is in peril.

Our group marched the International Speedway Bridge to the sounds of honking horns and waving of passers by. We then traveled to the Granada Bridge and were also met by entusiastic motorists and pedestrians in Ormond Beach.

Thanks to all you Patriots that participated in our first event!

Why we marched: by Ray S.
On Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th from 10am to 12 noon, the Volusia 912ers marched on 2 of our local bridges.  In honor of our fallen heroes, we commemorated them and ask fellow Americans to fight for the same Freedoms for which our brave soldiers sacrificed their lives.

Fellow patriots, our Liberty is in great peril.  Our Constitution and American values are being compromised by a tyrannical government.  Educated Americans do not recognize this as an American form of government.  Out of control spending, Federal government intrusion and corruption in Congress are destroying our individual rights.  Each of us and each State must stand together.  Our Founding Fathers helped form a more perfect Union and it's time we act in the interest of preserving our Nation.

Please join us in remembering the brave souls who understood their duty, paid the ultimate price and need America to validate their sacrifice.  Our duty as Americans is to stand side by side, protect and defend our Constitution from the threats it faces both internal and external.  The greatest nation ever conceived has been defended by generations.  Let us spur on a generation of awakened Americans who see beyond our struggles and understand that which our Founding Fathers knew.  The virtues espoused in the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and the Federalist Papers are the trademarks of true American values.  WE THE PEOPLE must re-apply those principles and standards.  From our local government, to our State legislature, let us remind Washington they exist because we allowed them to.  It was the States and the People who consented to a Federal system with limited powers enumerated in our Constitution.  Our rights are not given to us by Washington.  Our rights are granted by Our Creator, and we lend them to our representative government.  Virtuous leaders understand our system and it is our job to keep a watchful eye for any abuse of power.  A well educated people is the greatest army against tyranny.  Let us stand together.
